Colby Livestock Auction Company LLC is a livestock marketing services provider located in Colby Kansas.
Livestock sale barns are a vital part of the global food supply chain. Colby Livestock Auction is the only sale barn in the western half of Kansas specializing in marketing all species of large livestock. We are centrally located in the Midwest near Interstate 70 and Highway 83 in the western high plains of Kansas in Thomas County.
We value building strong customer relationships and strive to provide all buyers and sellers with a positive livestock marketing experience.
Weekly livestock auctions on Thursdays start at 11:00 CST with hogs, followed by cattle, horses, sheep, and goats.
Receiving Times:
>Wednesdays – please call ahead to schedule (Tristen: 785-953-7265)
>Thursdays – starting at 8:30am thru mid afternoon
Hogs, Sheep and Goats are loaded/unloaded at the covered pens to the north of sale barn.
Cattle and Horses are loaded/unloaded at the chutes to the south of the sale barn.
Requirements for Selling Livestock:
>Horses (out of state only): Proof of negative Coggins test within 6mo prior to date of sale.
>Sheep & Goats: Must carry USDA certified Scrapie tag. Sheep and goats without tags will be tagged for a fee.
>All Livestock: Please check your state regulations as health certificates may be required for animals being transported across state lines.
